ULCCS Concrete Plant Secures BIS Quality Certification
Kerala: The Concrete Mixing Unit of the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS), located at Vizhinjam Nettathani, has been awarded certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
ULCCS becomes the first institution in Thiruvananthapuram district and only the fifth in Kerala to achieve this recognition. The plant has received dual certification, confirming compliance with the IS/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and the Indian Standard for Ready Mixed Concrete, IS 4926:2003.
The BIS license validates that the facility meets stringent international standards for quality and reliability in Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) manufacturing. With this certification, ULCCS will be listed in the BIS register of Quality Management Systems Licensees under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
Officials noted that the certification strengthens ULCCS’s commitment to delivering high-quality concrete solutions and ensures long-term adherence to industry benchmarks.
