Sri Balaji Vocational & Skill Development Academy Creates World Record, Champions Special Children and Women Empowerment
Chennai: Sri Balaji Vocational & Skill Development Academy achieved a significant milestone by creating a world record at a special event held at the Anna Centenary Auditorium, Chennai. The event was organized in association with the World Records Union and the Asia Book of Records.
As part of the record-setting achievement, 400 Montessori Teacher Training students collectively handcrafted the Montessori Pink Tower and demonstrated 10 different Pink Tower activities within a span of 15 minutes. The large-scale demonstration showcased the students’ strong practical skills, creativity, precision, and in-depth understanding of Montessori teaching methodology, setting a new benchmark in hands-on early childhood education.
Adding a strong social dimension to the event, the Academy provided free stalls for special children, offering them a dedicated platform to display their talents, creativity, and skills. The initiative aimed to promote inclusivity by giving special children visibility, encouragement, and equal opportunities, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to inclusive education.
Sri Balaji Vocational & Skill Development Academy has played a key role in women empowerment, having trained and supported over 7,000 women through vocational education, skill development, and self-reliance programmes. The institution continues to focus on uplifting women, special children, and marginalised communities through practical, employment-oriented training.
The combined achievement of setting a world record while promoting social inclusion reflects the Academy’s commitment to social responsibility, inclusive growth, and nation-building through education.
The Academy congratulated all participants and special children for contributing to the success of the event, describing it as a symbol of excellence, empowerment, and hope.
