Kauvery Hospital’s K10K Cancer Awareness Run Draws 6,500 Participants

Chennai: Over 6,500 participants took part in the K10K Cancer Awareness Run organized by Kauvery Hospital on Sunday, ahead of World Cancer Day on February 4th.

The event, held at the Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School in Besant Nagar, Chennai, aimed to promote early cancer detection and prevention. The run offered two categories: a 10 km run and a 5 km run, attracting a diverse range of participants.

Dr. A N Vaidhyswaran, Director of Radiation Oncology at Kauvery Hospital, emphasized the importance of early detection, stating that cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. He highlighted that with advancements in treatment available at Kauvery Cancer Institute, it is possible to treat cancers effectively if detected early.

Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Kauvery Hospital, expressed gratitude to the participants and emphasized the importance of preventive health and fitness in cancer prevention.
