Justdial Reports 153% Surge in Beauty Service Demand in India
India’s leading local search engine, Justdial, has released data showing a significant increase in demand for beauty services in 2024 compared to the previous year.
The analysis reveals a 153% pan-India spike in beauty service searches during winter 2024, with metro cities witnessing a 192% surge. Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Chennai saw searches triple, while Kolkata and Pune reported a 2.5-fold increase.
Non-metro cities also saw a substantial increase, with a 131% spike. Chandigarh searches tripled, Jaipur searches increased by 2.5 times, and Indore searches doubled.
Hair spas emerged as a top contender, with a 219% increase in searches. Tan removal facial services also saw a significant 124% increase.
The data highlights a growing emphasis on self-care and personal grooming, with consumers increasingly preferring professional beauty services.
