Air India Group Celebrates International Women’s Day with All-Women Managed Flights

Air India group marked International Women’s Day by operating 18 flights managed by all-women teams across functions, including pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff.

The flights operated on select international and domestic routes, including Melbourne, London Heathrow, and several Indian cities. This initiative demonstrated the airline’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD, Air India, stated, “At Air India group, we take pride in having women lead from the front. We have women representation across key decision-making roles, driving our transformation journey.”

Air India has launched the #HerMatters initiative to support women employees in navigating critical life events and achieving a better work-life balance. The airline also offered special promotions and benefits for women passengers, including fare discounts and gift card discounts.

Air India aims to enhance women’s representation at mid and senior levels, with women currently making up 46% of the airline’s workforce, 16% of pilots, and 21% of staff in ground services.
