Air India Express Launches Flights from Hindon Airport, Expanding National Capital Region Operations
Bengaluru: In a significant expansion of its operations, Air India Express has launched flights from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, connecting the National Capital Region (NCR) to key destinations across India. The airline will operate 40 weekly flights from Hindon, directly linking Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and Kolkata.
The inaugural event, attended by Union Minister for Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naidu, marked a major milestone in improving air connectivity for the NCR. With operations from both Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Hindon Airport (HDO), Air India Express becomes the first airline to serve the National Capital Region from two airports.
The strategic expansion will cater to the vast catchment area of North and East Delhi NCR, as well as Western UP, providing convenient air services to Ghaziabad, Meerut, Noida, and other key localities.
Air India Express will also launch flights from Hindon to Chennai and Jammu on March 22, 2025. Passengers can book tickets and access more information on the airline’s website.
This expansion is part of Air India Express’ broader network growth strategy, which includes increasing its fleet size and enhancing connectivity across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
