Apraava Energy Empowers Two Million Lives Through CSR Initiatives in India

Chennai: Apraava Energy, India’s leading integrated energy solutions provider, has successfully achieved its goal of positively impacting over two million lives through its social impact initiatives, set in 2021. The company has implemented 232 projects across 560+ villages in 12 states, focusing on community development and sustainable growth.

Apraava’s Integrated Village Development Model empowers rural communities through participatory planning and locally tailored interventions in agriculture, health, education, and livelihoods. The company has planted over 2,50,000 trees, built and renovated more than 400 watershed structures, and supported 12,000+ farmers in stubble management, mitigating 1.2 lakh tonnes of stubble burning. These initiatives have resulted in 100+ water-secure villages and improved the quality of life for rural communities.

Apraava has introduced solar-powered streetlights, e-shalas, and off-grid solar systems in 46 villages, training local youth and electricians to maintain these systems. The company has also deployed mobile healthcare vans, upgraded Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and introduced solar-powered lights, water heaters, and e-learning systems in remote schools. These initiatives have improved access to healthcare and education for underserved communities.

Apraava’s initiatives have directly benefited over 12,000 women, with hundreds of women entrepreneurs supported through programs like Aarohan, Project Uday, and Udyogini. Youth-focused programs like the Jai Jawan Raksha Academy and rural STEM education have enhanced employability and learning. The company’s efforts have empowered vulnerable and underserved communities, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to improve their quality of life.

Apraava has partnered with 30+ non-profit and community-based organizations, aligning its initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company aims to scale its efforts, strengthen local partnerships, and deepen alignment with global sustainability goals, continuing its journey of empowerment, sustainability, and shared progress.
