Axis Max Life Launches BSE 500 Value 50 Index Fund for Long-Term Capital Growth

Chennai: Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd. has announced the launch of its new fund offer (NFO), the BSE 500 Value 50 Index Fund, designed to drive long-term capital growth. This passively managed equity fund is available exclusively through the company’s Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs), such as Smart Term with Additional Returns (STAR) ULIP, Flexi Wealth Advantage Plan (FWAP), and Online Savings Plan (OSP).

Key Features of the Fund

  • Investment Strategy: The fund selects the top 50 companies from the broader BSE 500 index based on rigorous value parameters, focusing on fundamentally strong yet undervalued companies with potential for long-term capital appreciation.
  • Selection Process: The fund uses three key financial ratios to identify undervalued stocks:
    • Book-to-Price Ratio: Indicates a company’s strong intrinsic worth relative to its market value.
    • Earnings-to-Price Ratio: Suggests strong profitability compared to the market price.
    • Sales-to-Price Ratio: Reflects significant sales generation relative to market value.
  • Benefits: The fund offers a diversified basket of 50 robust, undervalued companies across various sectors and market capitalizations, mitigating single-stock or sector overconcentration.

“In an evolving market landscape, the enduring principles of value investing offer a compelling path to long-term wealth creation. By focusing on fundamentally strong yet undervalued companies, the BSE 500 Value 50 Index Fund aims to provide superior risk-adjusted returns over the long-term with the protective benefits of our ULIPs,” said Sachin Bajaj, Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer, Axis Max Life.

The NFO is available for a limited period from July 28 to August 10, 2025. Customers can take advantage of this opportunity to align their portfolios with companies poised for sustained growth, without overconcentration on any single stock or sector.
