Bank of Baroda Organizes Mega Camp in Duttapukur, West Bengal
National: Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has organized a Mega Camp in Duttapukur, West Bengal, under the Saturation Campaign of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 30, 2025, aims to ensure 100% coverage of financial inclusion and social security schemes at the Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies level across the country.
Key Highlights of the Mega Camp
The Mega Camp saw enthusiastic engagement from over 600 villagers, highlighting the growing need for financial literacy and accessible banking services in rural areas. The event enabled local communities to access essential financial services, including:
- Opening New Accounts: New accounts were opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) for unbanked individuals.
- Social Security Schemes: Enrolment was facilitated in key social security schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
- Re-KYC Drives: Re-KYC drives were conducted for eligible inactive savings accounts under PMJDY, supported by awareness sessions on preventing digital fraud.
- Banking Correspondent Points: Banking Correspondent (BC) Points were established during the initiative to facilitate customer convenience.
