Bayer Organizes Monsoon Corn Festival to Support Smallholder Farmers
Rajasthan: Bayer is organizing a series of farmer workshops across key districts in Rajasthan to highlight the importance of corn as a vital crop for food, feed, and sustainable fuel. The workshops aim to support smallholder farmers in improving their yields and incomes.
The workshops will feature live demonstrations of agronomic best practices, insights into DEKALB hybrids, and guidance on sustainable farming techniques. Farmers will also have the opportunity to earn incentives through a QR code-based reward system via the FarmRise app.
Mohan Babu, Cluster Commercial Lead, CropScience Division of Bayer in India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, said, “At Bayer, we believe in empowering corn farmers with the tools, training, and support they need to thrive in a changing agricultural landscape… Through our workshops, we’re enabling growers to embrace innovation, boost productivity, and meet the dynamic needs of the corn value chain.”
The initiative aims to contribute to India’s journey towards self-sufficiency in corn production, while supporting the livelihoods of millions of farmers and contributing to the national economy.
