BIMTECH Wins Global Recognition at UN Headquarters

Mumbai: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has achieved a significant milestone, with its student team emerging as the Global Winner of the PRME Global Students Sustainability Awards 2025. The award ceremony was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The team, comprising Neer Soni, Arunojya Vatsa, and Deval Kambaliya, was mentored by Dr. Reeti Kulshrestha, Faculty, Sustainability and Responsible Business at BIMTECH. They excelled through a rigorous six-month evaluation process, showcasing their problem-solving, strategic, and decision-making skills, as well as a sustainability-oriented mindset.

The PRME Global Students Sustainability Awards recognize impactful sustainability-oriented student organizations that align with the Seven Principles for Responsible Management Education and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The winning team received a prize of USD 2000 to support their local sustainability initiatives.

Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, expressed delight at the achievement, saying, “It is an extremely proud moment for us to witness that our faculty and students are being recognised at global and reputed platforms.” He added that sustainability is not just a subject to be studied but a purpose to be lived at BIMTECH.

BIMTECH has pioneered innovative programs and nurtured individuals into global leaders. The institute is among the top globally recognized B-Schools, with a robust alumni network of over 8000 individuals. This achievement is a testament to BIMTECH’s commitment to excellence in management education and sustainability.
