Coromandel International Empowers Tribal Students in Nilgiris with Comprehensive Infrastructure Support

Mumbai: Coromandel International Limited, a leading agri-solutions provider, has launched an initiative to improve infrastructure at Eklavya Tribal School in Ooty, Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu. In collaboration with Round Table India, the project aims to provide better learning conditions, essential amenities, and a safer environment for 200 tribal students.

The school, which has been operating with limited infrastructure, will receive essential resources such as mattresses, blankets, uniforms, and washing machines to improve students’ daily living conditions. Additionally, Coromandel International has contributed solar streetlights and water purifiers to ensure a safer and more sustainable environment.

The inauguration was attended by key dignitaries, including the District Collector of Ooty, Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, and Arun Leslie George, President & CHRO, Coromandel International Limited. George emphasized the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening educational opportunities in underserved areas.

This initiative is part of Coromandel International’s broader vision of driving positive social impact through education, sustainability, and community development.
