Dr. R.A. Mashelkar Inspires Youth at IIHMR University to Transition India from Jugaad to Breakthrough Health Innovations
Mumbai: IIHMR University hosted its annual alumni meet, “Ekatva 2025,” at the Jaipur Campus, where esteemed guest Dr. R.A. Mashelkar emphasized the need for India to shift from “Jugaad” to breakthrough technological advancements in health innovations.
Dr. Mashelkar, Padma Vibhushan awardee and former Director General of CSIR, delivered a keynote address on “Game-Changing Disruptive Innovation for NextGen Diagnostics.” He stressed that India needs an affordable excellence paradigm to solve healthcare challenges and encouraged the youth to focus on making high technology accessible to the poor.
The event showcased examples of disruptive healthcare innovations, including AI-powered diagnostic tools, patient monitoring, and maternal health. This sparked a drive among the attendees to push the boundaries of innovation and explore new frontiers in healthcare solutions.
