Flipkart’s ‘Crafted by Bharat’ Sale to Spotlight Women-Led Enterprises This Republic Day

Chennai: Flipkart on Friday announced the 11th edition of its flagship ‘Crafted by Bharat’ sale, to be held on January 26, 2026, marking India’s 77th Republic Day. The initiative will showcase India’s rich artisanal heritage while placing a special focus on women-led enterprises from Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions.

The sale will feature over 1.8 lakh unique handcrafted products created by 2,300+ artisans, weavers, NGOs, self-help groups (SHGs), emporiums and women entrepreneurs from across the country. Buyers will be able to explore more than 200 traditional Indian art forms, including Warli, Patachitra, Madhubani, Pichwai, terracotta, handloom products, wooden toys and regional paintings.

Anchored in Flipkart Samarth, a programme launched in 2019 to support underserved communities, this year’s edition highlights women entrepreneurs from regions such as Kannauj, Bhuj, Bhadohi, Hathras, Hisar, Madurai, Chitrakoot, Ramanagara, Ghazipur, Ujjain, Churu and Ratangarh.

The event will see participation from government and private brands as well as local businesses, with an expected positive impact on over 1.9 million livelihoods. With the onboarding of 300+ new sellers, customers will have access to a wider range of authentic handcrafted products across categories including home décor, furniture, furnishings, kitchenware, apparel and lifestyle products.

Flipkart said the sale aligns with its broader strategy to empower MSMEs and artisans through e-commerce by providing pan-India market access, platform-led promotions and seller support.

Launched in 2019, Flipkart Samarth supports over 7 million livelihoods, with participating sellers reporting business growth of up to 300%, the company said.
