G Square Group Acquires Historic TVS Founder’s Land in Madurai for Residential and Commercial Project
G Square Group has acquired a 5-acre heritage land parcel in central Madurai from the legacy owners of the TVS Group, marking a significant real estate transaction in the city. The land was formerly owned by T. V. Sundaram Iyengar, founder of the TVS Group, and is considered one of the company’s earliest landholdings.
The company plans to develop the property into a residential and commercial plotted community named G Square Temple View Square (TVS), located near the Periyar Bus Stand and close to the Meenakshi Amman Temple.
According to the company, the ₹300-crore project will include 55 plots — 50 residential and 5 commercial — with portions allocated for infrastructure and amenities. Around 1.63 acres are earmarked for residential use and 2 acres for commercial development.
G Square Group stated that the project aims to offer planned plotted development within city limits while maintaining transparent transactions and structured development support for buyers. The location is expected to provide strong connectivity to educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and key urban infrastructure.
