‘Get Thunai’ Utility Support App Launched in Chennai

Chennai: A new consumer-focused utility support application, Get Thunai, was launched on Thursday at The Leela Palace Chennai, aiming to simplify bill storage and streamline service access for individuals and businesses.

Developed to address the common issue of misplaced purchase bills and warranty documents, the app provides a structured digital platform for securely storing and retrieving product-related information. Users can upload invoice details, serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty coverage information and supporting images in a centralized system.

Built on the principle of “One App. One Bill. One Trusted Service Partner,” Get Thunai enables users to digitally maintain product records and raise service requests directly through the application. The platform integrates a complaint mechanism that connects users with verified service partners and ensures assignment of technicians with relevant brand expertise.

The ecosystem consists of two separate applications — a Customer App for product documentation and service requests, and a Partner App for authorised service professionals — ensuring structured coordination.

Subscription plans have been introduced for different user segments. Home users can access a free plan for up to 10 products or subscribe at ₹99 annually for up to 50 products. Retailers, workshops, enterprises and corporate establishments have tiered plans based on asset volume. A technician plan priced at ₹1,199 per month includes customer leads and call masking features.

The app was unveiled by Laxman Mannaji Rao, Managing Director, and Sudha Laxman, Director of Peruvallatthan Thirumavalavan Global Solutions Private Limited (PTGS).

Speaking at the event, Rao said the platform was conceptualised after witnessing customers face warranty claim rejections due to missing documentation. He added that the company aims to onboard one lakh users and build a network of 5,000 verified technicians within the first year.

Get Thunai positions itself as a structured digital solution designed to enhance documentation management and ensure timely service support.
