Gleneagles Hospital Chennai Launches ‘Sakhi’ Comprehensive One-Stop Breast Care Clinic
Chennai, February 25, 2026: Gleneagles Hospital Chennai, part of Fortis Healthcare, has launched Sakhi, a Comprehensive One-Stop Breast Care Clinic offering integrated services from screening and diagnosis to advanced treatment and reconstruction.
The clinic was inaugurated by actress Kalaimamani Nalini in the presence of senior leadership including Dr. Balaji Ramani, Director – Gleneagles Institute of Oncology; Niranjani, Chief Operating Officer and Hospital Head; and Bharath Kanth Reddy, CEO – Chennai & Hyderabad Cluster.
Sakhi brings together surgical, medical and radiation oncology along with advanced diagnostics under a single coordinated pathway to ensure faster decision-making and improved patient experience. The centre is equipped with 3D mammography, tomosynthesis and stereotactic biopsy facilities to support early and accurate diagnosis.
To mark the launch, free mammogram screening was provided to 10 underprivileged individuals. The hospital has also announced a 50% discount on mammograms and free consultations until March 31, 2026. Breast screening programmes for underserved communities are also being conducted to promote awareness and early detection.
Hospital officials noted that breast cancer remains a major public health concern in India, with nearly 2 lakh new cases reported annually. They emphasised that early detection can significantly improve survival rates, and the Sakhi clinic aims to deliver timely, personalised and technology-enabled breast care.
