IIM Sambalpur Launches Future-Focused Undergraduate Programs
Mumbai: IIM Sambalpur has introduced two innovative undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Science in Management and Public Policy and Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. These programs are designed to develop responsible leaders who can address complex societal and industrial challenges with innovation, compassion, and a global perspective.
The Bachelor of Science in Management and Public Policy program focuses on sustainability, ESG, and community-led development, equipping students to bridge the gap between policy and practice. The Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program aims to develop India’s digital capability and global competitiveness, building future-ready skill sets among young students. Both programs have a flexible structure, allowing students to gain a certificate, diploma, degree, or honors degree with multiple entry and exit points.
The launch event featured a roundtable discussion and panel discussions with industry experts, including Bramhanand Jha, Vice President, National eGovernance Division, and Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur. They emphasized the importance of developing talent and mindset to drive innovation and transformation in the digital economy.
Admissions for the B.S. programs will begin in June 2025, with classes commencing in September 2025. IIM Sambalpur is the first IIM to offer admissions to its B.S. programs through national-level entrance exams like IIT JEE Main and CUET, making it a pioneering institution in India’s education landscape.
