MNRE Secretary Charts IREDA’s 2026 Growth Path
New Delhi: The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) began the new year with a gathering at India Habitat Centre, attended by MNRE Secretary Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Joint Secretary J.V.N. Subramanyam, CMD Pradip Kumar Das, and senior officials.
Sarangi urged team building and mentoring of young professionals, stressing IREDA’s role in supporting MSMEs and flagship schemes like PM Surya Ghar, with MNRE’s continued backing.
CMD Das highlighted workforce growth from 168 in 2025 to 227 in 2026, with women making up 23%, far above the CPSE average. He noted IREDA’s strong financials: cumulative loan sanctions of ₹2.78 lakh crore, disbursements of ₹1.80 lakh crore, and a loan book of ₹87,975 crore as of December 31, 2025.
IREDA also achieved its highest-ever PAT of ₹1,699 crore in FY 2024–25 and secured an international credit rating upgrade from S&P Global Ratings.
Director (Finance) Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty closed the event by commending employees’ teamwork and urging continued excellence in governance and efficiency.
