Chennai: The Board of Directors of the John Cockerill Group has announced a leadership transition, with Jean‑Luc Maurange set to take over as Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2026. He succeeds François Michel, who will step down on December 31, 2025 to pursue other professional opportunities.
The Board acknowledged Michel’s contributions over the past three years, commending his commitment to the Group’s development and wishing him success in his future endeavours.
Maurange’s appointment marks a return to familiar leadership, reinforcing continuity and stability within the organisation. He also played a pivotal role in the Group’s recent acquisition of Arquus.
His extensive knowledge of the company’s operations and strategic priorities is expected to support the effective execution of the Group’s long-term vision across its diverse sectors, including energy, defense, hydrogen, metallurgy, industrial services, and essential infrastructure.
Despite global uncertainties, the Group reaffirmed its confidence in its multi-sector model and strategic direction. The Board also expressed full trust in the management team and extended its appreciation to employees for their continued dedication to the organisation’s transformation and growth.
