Madurai-based Kleanup Games’ debut title CHROMADI and Gurugram-based Dunali Games’ Rookie Tales have both been nominated for “Upcoming Mobile Game of the Year.” Mumbai-based Singular Scheme’s Frontier Paladin has secured a nomination for “Upcoming PC/Console Game of the Year.” These nominations span mobile and console categories, spotlighting India’s creative and technical rise in the global gaming arena.

All three studios have gained international recognition in 2025, with CHROMADI featured at the Tokyo Game Show (India Pavilion), Game Devs of Color Expo, and the GDWC Summer Finals. Rookie Tales continues to earn acclaim for its storytelling depth, following Dunali’s participation in the Google Indie Games Accelerator. Frontier Paladin has made its mark at GDC, Comic Con’s Indie Game Utsav, WAVES 2025, and earlier global showcases including Gamescom LATAM and TGS.

“It’s inspiring to see the KIGI studios earn recognition across global and Indian stages,” said Anuj Sahani, Head – KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator and Advisor, India Publishing Department. “These nominations reflect the innovation and passion of these young teams and the evolution of India’s gaming ecosystem.”

The studio founders echoed the sentiment, highlighting the role of KIGI in nurturing independent talent and enabling global visibility. From small beginnings to international platforms, each studio emphasized the importance of originality, emotional connection, and storytelling in game development.

KRAFTON also reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian gaming community through its continued partnership with the Game Developer Association of India (GDAI). At IGDC 2025—held in Chennai for the first time—KRAFTON will showcase its flagship title BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) and Real Cricket 24, developed by Nautilus Mobile, offering attendees an immersive experience and underscoring India’s growing strength in mobile gaming.
