JSW MG Motor India Unveils MG Majestor, India’s First D+ Segment SUV
Chennai: JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the all-new MG Majestor, positioning it as India’s first D+ segment SUV. Designed for customers seeking a commanding road presence, premium comfort, and strong off-road capability, the new model sets benchmarks in size, performance, technology, and safety.
The MG Majestor was earlier showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and now takes centre stage as one of the brand’s most rugged and premium SUVs developed for Indian roads and diverse terrains. Pre-bookings for the vehicle have begun, while the complete pricing and launch timeline will be announced closer to its market debut.
Segment-Leading Size and Bold Design
Built on a massive 2950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor stands out as the longest (5046 mm), widest (2016 mm), and tallest (1870 mm) in its category. The SUV features a bold exterior design with a Mosaic Matrix combination grille, Dragon Eyes DRLs, split headlamps, connected LED tail lamps with sequential indicators, a raised hood line, and 19-inch alloy wheels, giving it a rugged yet premium appearance.
Premium and Spacious Interior
Inside, the Majestor offers a luxurious cabin finished in a black theme with plush leather upholstery and a sleek centre console. The SUV comes with ventilated and massage seats for both driver and co-driver, along with memory and welcome functions. The driver seat offers 12-way adjustment, while the passenger seat provides 8-way adjustment.

- Three-zone climate control
- Dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and the instrument cluster

The Majestor will be available in six- and seven-seater configurations, making it suitable for families as well as adventure seekers.
Powerful Performance and Off-Road Capability
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission available in both 2WD and advanced 4WD variants.
A key highlight is its Advanced 4WD system with 10 off-road modes, which automatically switches from 2WD to 4WD when traction loss is detected. The Majestor also becomes the first in its segment to offer triple differential locks – front, rear, and centre.
Additional off-road features include:
- Crawl Control Mode
- 219 mm ground clearance
- 810 mm water wading capability
Advanced Safety Features
The Majestor is equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making it the first D+ segment SUV in India with this technology. Safety features include 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS), and Roll Movement Intervention (RMI).

Variants and Colours
The Majestor will be available in Sharp and Savvy variants across 2WD and 4WD drivetrains and will come in Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black, and Metal Ash colour options.
