Mphasis Appoints Punit Sood as Independent Director for Five-Year Term
Mumbai: Mphasis (BSE: 526299; NSE: MPHASIS), a global AI‑led and platform‑driven technology solutions provider, has appointed Punit Sood as an Independent Director on its Board for a five‑year term, effective December 11, 2025. The appointment, recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, is subject to shareholders’ approval.
Sood currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of ICICI Bank and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). With more than 36 years of leadership experience across financial services and technology, he has played a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across global enterprises.
His career includes senior leadership roles at Citibank, GE Capital, United Technologies, JPMorgan Chase, and NatWest, where he rose to CIO positions across multiple geographies. He has also been instrumental in shaping Global Capability Centre (GCC) strategies for leading financial institutions. Sood chaired the NASSCOM GCC Council from 2021 to 2023 and continues as a member for the 2023–25 term. He also serves as an External Expert with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), advising on GCC strategy.
