NIESBUD Hosts South Sudan Delegation for International Training on PPP Models in TVET

Mumbai: The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is hosting a 12-day International Training Programme on “Strengthening the Public–Private Partnership Model in the South Sudan TVET Ecosystem” from December 2–12, 2025.

Organised under the Ministry of External Affairs’ ITEC initiative in collaboration with UNESCO, the programme brings together 28 senior officials and private sector representatives from South Sudan. Three ministers from the Republic are expected to join later this week.

The programme aims to build South Sudan’s capacity in TVET governance, PPP frameworks, entrepreneurship development, and industry-integrated skilling. Delegates will also gain exposure to India’s skilling architecture, including flagship schemes, quality assurance mechanisms, and digital skilling innovations.

During their visit to Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi, the delegation interacted with Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, who highlighted India’s unified skilling ecosystem and opportunities for bilateral cooperation in agriculture, construction, women-centric skilling, and digital learning.

Over 12 days, participants will engage in thematic sessions, field visits, and institutional interactions with ministries, Sector Skill Councils, training institutions, and industry bodies. The initiative underscores India’s commitment to capacity building and long-term cooperation with partner nations under the ITEC framework.
