NTT DATA Signs Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS to Accelerate Enterprise Cloud and Agentic AI Adoption

Mumbai: NTT DATA, a global leader in AI, digital business and technology services, has signed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help enterprises modernise legacy systems, responsibly adopt agentic AI, and scale cloud-driven innovation across industries.

The collaboration combines NTT DATA’s expertise in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernisation and agentic AI with the scale and innovation capabilities of AWS, enabling enterprises to modernise mission-critical workloads, build secure cloud foundations, and deliver measurable business outcomes, particularly across regulated and high-growth sectors.

Four Priority Areas of Collaboration

Under the agreement, NTT DATA and AWS will focus on accelerating enterprise transformation across four key areas:

• AI-driven large-scale cloud transformation: Accelerating the migration and modernisation of on-premises workloads to AWS using generative and agentic AI, automation and data platforms to unlock new business models and enable intelligent operations.
• Industry cloud solutions on AWS: Delivering industry-specific, repeatable cloud offerings across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail and energy, leveraging NTT DATA’s Industry Cloud platform with over 500 extensible business components and AI agents.
• AI and data innovation for managed services and customer experience: Operating secure and compliant cloud environments at scale, including the modernisation of contact centre solutions on Amazon Connect to accelerate adoption of AI-driven customer experience (CX) solutions globally.
• Digital sovereignty and regulated cloud solutions: Supporting European governments and enterprises through the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, enabling compliance with strict data residency and operational autonomy requirements. As a launch partner, NTT DATA will deliver sovereign-by-design cloud solutions and managed services.

AWS will also support NTT DATA through co-innovation programmes, certifications and client engagement initiatives to help enterprises adopt AI-driven cloud solutions with greater speed and confidence.

Strengthening Delivery Capabilities

To advance execution, NTT DATA has established a dedicated AWS Business Group, aligned with AWS’s sales and delivery structure. The group currently includes nearly 11,000 AWS-certified professionals, with plans to certify an additional 10,000 experts over the next three years.

The collaboration has already demonstrated results, with Honda Trading Asia successfully migrating its systems to the AWS Cloud with support from NTT DATA.

Looking ahead, NTT DATA plans to develop dozens of industry-specific AI-driven cloud solutions on AWS through its Industry Cloud platform, supporting transformation across financial services, healthcare and life sciences, public sector, manufacturing and automotive sectors.

The initiative also expands NTT DATA’s Smart AI Agent™ Ecosystem, enabling enterprises to deploy and manage responsible, business-driven AI at scale.
