India Orange Crowned Champions of NTT DATA Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2025
Mumbai: The NTT DATA Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2025 concluded in Bengaluru with India Orange emerging as the champions. The tournament was hosted by Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled and the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) in collaboration with NTT DATA as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
Tournament Highlights
The tournament served a dual purpose: to strengthen the self-confidence and sportsmanship of visually impaired cricketers and to identify and develop talented players for the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind. India Orange won the match and lifted the NTT DATA Champions Trophy with a cash prize of INR 100,000. Simu Das was awarded the player of the match, while Simu Das, Anekha Thakur, and Deepika T.C. were awarded the player of the series award.
Partnership and Support
NTT DATA partnered with Samarthanam and CABI to champion the Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind, providing a platform for resilience, talent, and leadership to shine. Gauri Bahulkar, Sr. Director of Global Corporate Social Responsibility, NTT DATA, said, “These 56 remarkable women athletes are a testament to what’s possible when barriers are removed and potential is nurtured.”

The winning squad, India Orange, consisted of talented players like Simu Das, Vaishali Gavit, and Ganga Kadam, who showcased exceptional skills and teamwork.
