Petit Domaine Sparkling Winery Opens in Loudoun County with Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
Petit Domaine, Sparkling Winery & Estate, a boutique winery dedicated exclusively to premium sparkling wine, has officially opened its doors with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony at 37938 Charles Town Pike, Hillsboro, Virginia.
A First for Virginia
French for “little estate,” Petit Domaine is the first winery in Virginia focused solely on sparkling wine. The estate features:
- A refined tasting room and outdoor spaces
- A curated food program guided by Michelin-Starred Chef Eric Ziebold of Kinship and Métier, Washington, D.C.
- A limited-production sparkling portfolio crafted by Head Winemaker Shai Van Gelder
During its early years, while estate-grown wines are in production, Petit Domaine has partnered with a premier cru Champagne house to craft its debut offerings.
Community Celebration
The grand opening event included:
- A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony
- Remarks from local officials
- Tastings of Petit Domaine’s debut sparkling wines
- Seasonally inspired food pairings
- Tours of the newly renovated tasting room and estate grounds
“A sparkling winery brings a different energy to the wine experience,” said J Snyder, Loudoun native and founder of Petit Domaine. “We are specialists in the wine, but we’re also a place for celebration and an elevated hospitality and lifestyle experience. Our goal is to add that dimension to the region’s already remarkable wine landscape.”
Chef Eric Ziebold added: “It’s an exciting opportunity to be involved with a winery that is as purposeful and intentional about their food program as they are about their sparkling wine.”
