Radisson Blu Hotel GRT Chennai celebrates the 1st Anniversary of ‘Kari Theory’ with a feast from the sea
A gala on June 1st was kicked-off with Kadal Virundhu, a street food festival to celebrate the resto-bar’s first anniversary
Chennai: What a year it has been for Kari Theory the premium South Indian gastronomic haven resto-bar at Radisson Blu Hotel GRT Chennai — 365 days of capturing the pulse of state, the soul of Tamil street food and the hearts of all those who walked in for an experience. Consistently serving up delicious food and drinks, it’s no wonder the resto-bar has seen a year of loyal patronage. And now, to commemorate this special occasion, there is much being planned to share the love we have felt throughout the year.
In true Kari Theory style, a special celebration — Kadal Virundhu — that pays homage to Tamil Nadu’s bountiful coastline will be hosted for over two weeks. Chef Kishore, Executive Chef, Radisson Blu GRT Chennai, will bring the freshest catch of the day directly to your table with all the visual drama that the resto-bar is known for. Streetside delicacies such as Pazhaverkadu Nandu Peratal and Thoothukudi Singi Eral Varuval are just a few of the dishes on the menu. Paired with a carefully crafted cocktail or a wine from the long list available, this feast is one that should not be missed.
The festivities kickstarted with a fun-filled and lavish party that was attended by the city’s glitterati to celebrate all things Tamil. Making the launch of Kadal Virundhi a treat for all the senses was also entertained by ‘The Office Gaana Guys’, who brought their unparalleled energy and real streetside vibe for a truly immersive experience. The evening was the perfect start for what promised to be a delightful two-week-long celebration.
“As we celebrate our first-year anniversary at Kari theory, we thank all our patrons for giving us their immense love and support. We wanted to ring in the next year in the best way that depicts what Kari Theory stands for. My chefs have travelled to many coastal regions of Tamil Nadu to create a menu that features street food favourites such as Nandu Omelette, Squid Roast, and much more. I invite you to drop in for lunch or dinner to enjoy the authentic, classical flavours of Tamil Nadu at Kari Theory,” says Kishore, Executive Chef, Radisson Blu GRT Chennai.
We look forward to having you share this momentous occasion with us on for the first two weeks of June, as we take you along on a sumptuous journey through the state’s versatile coastline.
Kadal Virundhu is available from June 1st to June 16th, from 11.30am -11pm at Kari Theory, Radisson Blu GRT Chennai.
