Rainbow Children’s Hospital Marks Women’s Day with Music Event and Community Run in Chennai
Chennai: Rainbow Children’s Hospital and BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals marked International Women’s Day in Chennai with a series of community-focused activities aimed at promoting women’s health, wellness and empowerment. The events witnessed participation from more than 5,000 people from across the city.
The celebrations began on March 7 with a Women’s Day music event held at Uptown Kathipara. The lively evening featured live band performances, interactive activities and engaging sessions that attracted enthusiastic participation from women and families. The event created a vibrant atmosphere celebrating the achievements and spirit of women.
Continuing the initiative, the Women’s Day Run 2026 was organised early morning on March 8 at Phoenix Marketcity Chennai. The run was organised by Vamos Run Club and powered by BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals.
The event saw strong participation from fitness enthusiasts and community members who gathered to support the message of women’s health, fitness and active living. Participants also enjoyed a range of post-run activities including a DJ session, physiotherapy support points and a finisher photo booth, adding to the energetic atmosphere of the morning.
Through these initiatives, Rainbow Children’s Hospital and BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals reiterated their commitment to raising awareness about women’s health and encouraging healthier communities. The events also served as a platform to inspire women to prioritise their well-being and adopt active lifestyles.
