Rainbow Children’s Hospital Opens Subiksha High-Risk Pregnancy Unit in Anna Nagar
Chennai: Rainbow Children’s Hospital has launched Subiksha, a comprehensive high-risk pregnancy unit at its Anna Nagar facility, expanding specialized maternal and neonatal care in Tamil Nadu.
The unit features a Level-3 NICU, advanced fetal diagnostics, and round-the-clock multidisciplinary care, bringing together obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine experts, diabetologists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, and neonatologists under one roof.
Led by Dr. V K Shantha and Dr. Shobana Rajendran, the team will manage complex pregnancies including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations, and prior pregnancy losses.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Shantha said, “Subiksha ensures safe, evidence-based care for mothers with high-risk conditions.” Dr. Rajendran added, “Our collaborative mother-baby model improves outcomes by anticipating risks early.”
The unit was inaugurated by M.K. Mohan, MLA, Anna Nagar Constituency, alongside senior clinicians.
