RED Health Acquires TACT Academy to Strengthen Healthcare Education
Chennai: In a landmark move to revolutionize clinical training in India, RED Health, Asia’s only JCI-accredited and India’s largest emergency medical response platform, has successfully acquired a majority stake in TACT Academy for Clinical Training, India’s first simulation-based healthcare training centre.
The announcement was made during a press conference, marking a transformative step in advancing healthcare education and emergency preparedness. The acquisition reflects RED Health’s mission to create a global center of excellence in the allied healthcare space, with a focus on emergency medical services and pre-hospital care, while preparing a workforce capable of addressing healthcare challenges both in India and globally.
TACT, established in 2007, has earned its reputation as a leader in simulation-based clinical training. As it becomes RED TACT, the academy will retain its legacy while expanding its reach and curriculum to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. Through this collaboration, RED Health can ensure a steady pipeline of skilled personnel, enhancing both response times and the quality of care offered across its operations in more than 30 cities. This step also aligns with RED Health’s vision of establishing a 911-like system in India, ensuring readiness in emergencies.
Moreover, the association will offer healthcare professionals access to innovative programs and advanced skill-building opportunities. The rebranding reflects the association between RED Health’s extensive network of emergency services and TACT’s proven expertise in clinical education creating an integrated system to uplift India’s healthcare training standards.
Sharing his thoughts on the acquisition, Prabhdeep Singh, Founder and CEO of RED Health, said, “A resilient emergency response system relies on the expertise and preparedness of trained healthcare professionals. TACT has built a remarkable legacy in simulation-based clinical training, and this collaboration is a critical step in strengthening the foundation of emergency preparedness in India. Together, we aim to create a healthcare training ecosystem that equips professionals with the skills and confidence to handle real-world challenges effectively.”
As part of its growth strategy, RED Health plans to integrate digital learning platforms to make quality training accessible across urban and rural regions. The collaboration will also facilitate partnerships with universities to create academic programs that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This approach is designed to ensure that healthcare professionals receive industry-relevant training from day one.
