Renault Group Appoints Stephane Deblaise as CEO for India
Mumbai: Renault Group has announced the appointment of Stephane Deblaise as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renault India, effective September 1, 2025. Deblaise will be responsible for defining and executing the Group’s strategy in India, with all Renault Group entities in the country reporting to him.
Deblaise, 52, is a seasoned automotive professional with extensive experience in the industry. Prior to his appointment as CEO of Renault India, he served as CEO of Renault Korea, where he led key transformation initiatives, including positioning the company as a global development and production hub for mid- and large-sized vehicles and modernizing the Busan plant for multi-energy vehicle production.
As CEO of Renault India, Deblaise will report directly to Francois Provost, Renault Group Chief of Procurement, Partnerships and Public Affairs Officer. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India Private Limited (RIPL), will support Deblaise on corporate affairs in India to help structure the Group’s mid-term growth strategy in the region.
Deblaise’s appointment reflects Renault Group’s strong confidence in his leadership and highlights the strategic importance of India in the company’s global growth ambitions. With this move, Renault aims to accelerate its presence and performance in the competitive Indian automotive landscape.
