Prashanth Fertility Research Centre Expands Internationally with New IVF Facility in Sri Lanka
Chennai: Prashanth Fertility Research Centre (PFRC), a leading name in reproductive medicine in India, has announced its first international expansion with the launch of the Royal Prashanth Fertility Centre (RPFC) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The new centre, developed in collaboration with Royal Hospital, marks a major milestone in PFRC’s South Asia growth strategy.
Designed as a full-service, state-of-the-art IVF facility, RPFC will offer advanced fertility treatments including IVF, IUI, ICSI, donor and surrogacy programs, male fertility management, and fertility preservation. The centre features dedicated embryology, andrology, and cryopreservation units, along with consultation and recovery zones built to international standards.
The clinical team will be led by specialists trained under Dr. Geetha Haripriya, Founder and Medical Director of PFRC, ensuring continuity of PFRC’s patient-centric approach and clinical excellence.
“Sri Lanka has always held a special place in our journey,” said Dr. Geetha Haripriya. “This centre is our way of giving back to a country that has shown us immense trust. We’re bringing the same standards of care and compassion that define PFRC in India.”
PFRC has long served patients from Sri Lanka at its Chennai facility. The new Colombo centre builds on this trust, offering greater convenience and continuity of care for local families.
“This expansion reflects our commitment to making world-class reproductive medicine accessible across South Asia,” said Dr. Samhitha Moutri, Medical Director, Prashanth Group of Hospitals.
Mr. Dinesh Ranaweera, Chairman of Royal Hospital, added, “Our partnership with PFRC brings advanced fertility care closer to Sri Lankan families who aspire to experience the joy of parenthood.”
With a legacy of over 25 years and thousands of successful treatments, PFRC’s international debut reinforces its position as a pioneer in fertility care and signals its readiness to scale globally.
