Schneider Electric Highlights Energy Technology Innovation at World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos

Mumbai: Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, where it will advocate cross-industry collaboration to advance energy technology. The company’s delegation is led by Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer, who will engage with global leaders on the convergence of energy, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Olivier Blum said that AI and energy are increasingly interdependent, highlighting the need for greater energy intelligence to support rising compute demands while driving efficiency and sustainability across industries.

During the Annual Meeting, Schneider Electric will make several key announcements. The company has been recognised in Cohorts 1 and 2 of the World Economic Forum’s MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions) programme for real-world AI applications. Blum will accept awards for EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor and Snaplogic Touchscreen Room Controller at the winners’ reception on January 20, 2026.

In manufacturing excellence, the Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network has awarded Schneider Electric’s Wuhan factory, making it the company’s ninth Lighthouse recognition. The site is among only three factories globally to receive a distinction in the newly introduced talent category, recognising its people-centric workforce model and manufacturing resilience.

At Davos, Frédéric Godemel, Executive Vice President – Energy Management, will convene senior leaders as part of the Bloomberg New Economy Energy Technology Coalition. The meeting marks the coalition’s first major gathering, aimed at accelerating the adoption of technologies that enhance energy efficiency, resilience, and responsiveness amid growing global electricity demand.

Schneider Electric will also announce a partnership with EDP to launch EDGE Transition, a global accelerator supporting social entrepreneurs delivering clean, affordable energy solutions in underserved communities. The initiative provides mentorship, technical validation, strategic partnerships, and access to patient capital, with the partnership set to be announced on January 21, 2026.

Through its participation at WEF 2026, Schneider Electric reinforces its commitment to advancing energy technology, accelerating the energy transition, and promoting inclusive, sustainable electrification worldwide.
