Serentica Renewables Signs Landmark 100 MW RTC Power PPA with SECI
Mumbai: Serentica Renewables, a leading renewable energy company in India, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 100 MW of round-the-clock renewable power. This marks India’s first-ever “load-following” PPA, designed to match the seasonal load profile of the offtakers.
Key Features of the Agreement
- Serentica will deploy a diversified technology mix of wind, solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to meet the unique requirement of fulfilling 80% of the specified hourly demand each month.
- Load obligations will range from 17 MW during low-demand hours to 100 MW during peak demand.
- The project is expected to generate over 400 GWh of clean energy annually.
