Shree Cement Commissions 20 MW Solar Plant in Uttar Pradesh

Shree Cement Ltd. has commissioned a 20 MWp solar power plant in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, to supply renewable energy to its Etah grinding unit. Phase 1 is now operational, with Phase 2 expected by Q4 FY25–26. The project will offset 22,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually and generate 30–40 daily jobs locally.

Managing Director Neeraj Akhoury said the plant reflects Shree Cement’s commitment to sustainable operations and innovation. With this milestone, the company’s total installed solar capacity reaches 313.5 MWp across India.
