SICA Culinary Olympiad & Food Competition 2025

Chennai: The 7th Edition of SICA Culinary Olympiad & Food Competition 2025 was grandly launched at the Chennai Trade Centre by R. Rajendran, Minister for Tourism, Tamil Nadu, alongside Chef Damu and Chef Seetharam. The three-day event brings together over 3,000 chefs from India and international teams from the Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Australia.

Culinary Competition Highlights

The competition features a range of live culinary challenges, including:

  • Three-tier Wedding Cake: A showcase of culinary artistry and precision
  • Butter/Margarine Sculpture: A test of creativity and skill
  • Plated Appetizers: A display of flavors and presentation
  • Culinary Team Challenge: Buffet competitions in two batches
  • Creative Skilled Paratha: Live competition to craft the perfect paratha
  • Best Creation for Restaurant or Banquet Hall Arrangement: Showcasing creativity in food presentation and arrangement
  • Authentic Indian Regional Cuisine: Powered by Maggi Coconut Milk Powder

Event Details

The event is held alongside the regional edition of AAHAR International Food Fair 2025 in Chennai and is supported by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organization (TNTPO). The competition features exclusive cocktail and mocktail competitions, as well as housekeeping competitions, with gold medals awarded to winners at the end of each day.
