330 students compete at national finals of SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest in Chennai
Chennai: The National Finals of the 10th SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest (AGC) 2025 concluded in Chennai on Saturday, bringing together 330 student finalists from across the country. The event was organised by SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd. at Hotel Green Park, Vadapalani.
The finalists were selected from a nationwide pool of over 9.13 lakh students representing nearly 2,000 schools. The competition tested participants on speed, accuracy, mental agility and concentration, underlining the importance of strong foundational numeracy skills.
Winners at the State and National levels were honoured at a prize distribution ceremony, with awards from a total prize pool worth ₹30 lakh. Retired IPS officer Rishi Raj Singh was the chief guest at the event and addressed students, parents and educators on the role of discipline and focus in achieving long-term success.
Speaking at the event, Dinesh Victor, Managing Director, SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd., said the contest reflected India’s growing emphasis on foundational learning. He noted that the journey from lakhs of participants at the school level to 330 finalists at the national stage highlighted the impact of structured training and perseverance.
Sibi Shekhar, Director – SIP Abacus, acknowledged the support of school principals, teachers and internal teams involved in conducting the four rounds of the competition.
As a special incentive this year, national-level winners will get an opportunity to witness a live ISRO rocket launch from the viewing gallery at Sriharikota.
With the completion of its 10th edition, the SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest continues to promote confidence, focus and problem-solving skills among students through structured learning and competition.
