SMFG India Credit Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Cattle Welfare Lesson

Mumbai: SMFG India Credit has achieved a Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Cattle Welfare Lesson (Multiple Venues)’ with 517 participants across 6 venues in India.

This milestone was accomplished as part of the company’s 7th edition of Pashu Vikas Day (PVD), a nationwide cattle care initiative. The event saw over 6,000 employees participate in 500 locations across 16 states, benefiting around 1,90,000 beneficiaries, including 1,50,000 cattle and 40,000 cattle owners.

Shantanu Mitra, CEO and MD of SMFG India Credit, said, “We are committed to championing social initiatives that create a meaningful impact. Our goal is to drive financial inclusion and provide the right products and financial solutions to communities at every stage of their life cycle.”

The company has previously been recognized by various world record organizations for hosting the largest cattle care camps organized in a single day.
