SRM Tamil Perayam Hosts ‘Sol Tamizha Sol 2025’ Speech Competition in Chennai

Chennai: The Tamil Perayam at SRM Institute of Science and Technology has kicked off its grand speech competition, ‘Sol Tamizha Sol 2025‘, spanning 9 zones across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The first zone event in Chennai took place at the SRM College of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, drawing participation from over 500 students and 15 judges.

Chennai Zone Winners:

First Prize: ₹1,00,000 – S. Pandi Ganesh, Madras Christian College

Second Prize: ₹75,000 – L. Sanjana, St. Joseph College of Engineering

Third Prize: ₹50,000 – S. Satish Kumar, University of Madras

The final round was adjudicated by Professor Aranga Ramalingam and Professor Vimala Annadurai, who announced the winners. Karu Nagarasan, President of Tamil Perayam, presented certificates to the victors.

The top four winners from the Chennai zone will advance to the state-level grand finale, with prizes to be awarded during the event. Next up is the Vellore Zone, with contests scheduled for February 2, 2025, at Tirupattur Sacred Hearts College.
