Sterlite EdIndia Foundation Empowers Future Teachers through ‘State Level Teaching Plan Competition 2025’
Mumbai: Sterlite EdIndia Foundation, in partnership with the Chhattisgarh State Education and Research Council (SCERT), has launched the ‘State Level Teaching Plan Competition 2025’, a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the quality of teacher training at the state level. Now in its third year, the competition aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical classroom application.
The competition, held on April 5, 2025, saw 36 student-teachers from 18 district training institutions across Chhattisgarh compete, showcasing their teaching plans through live demonstrations. The event was divided into two phases, with 1000 student PSTs participating in the first phase, and only 36 making it to the second phase.
Dekeshwar Verma, D.El.Ed. Cell Incharge SCERT, praised the initiative, saying, “The State Level Teaching Plan Competition is an essential initiative in our state’s educational landscape. It empowers future educators with the practical tools and skills they need to succeed and inspire their students.” Sonakshi Agarwal, Managing Director of Sterlite EdIndia Foundation, added, “Our initiative is about more than just classroom teaching; it’s about shaping educators who can inspire, engage, and instill a love for learning in students.”
The winners of the competition were recognized for their excellence, with certificates, prize money, and medals awarded during a ceremony graced by dignitaries including Mrs. Pushpa Kishfotta, Professor Alok Sharma, and Mrs. Sonakshi Agarwal.
The initiative is a testament to the power of collaboration, with Sterlite EdIndia Foundation and the state government working hand-in-hand to improve the quality of teacher education.
