Swiggy Ties Up with Sarvam for Multilingual Voice Commerce
Chennai: Swiggy has partnered with Sarvam to roll out multilingual, voice-led commerce across its food delivery, Instamart, and Dineout services.
The feature will allow users to order food, groceries, and book tables using voice commands in multiple Indian languages, covering the entire journey from discovery to payment.
The solution is powered by Sarvam’s AI models trained on Indian languages, while Razorpay will enable seamless, secure payments through UPI-based systems.
Swiggy said the initiative aims to make digital commerce more accessible in a linguistically diverse market and marks a step forward in AI-driven, conversational commerce in India.
Madhusudhan Rao, Chief Technology Officer at Swiggy, said the partnership is focused on improving accessibility by allowing users to interact in their preferred language.
Pratyush Kumar, Co-founder of Sarvam, described the initiative as a step towards making AI a “utility for the many” in everyday use cases such as food and grocery ordering.
Khilan Haria, Chief Product Officer at Razorpay, said the integration of conversational AI with seamless payments would help make digital transactions more intuitive and efficient.
