Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said the Union Budget 2026–27 signals policy continuity and a strong commitment to India’s manufacturing-led growth.
He highlighted the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, focusing on equipment, materials, full-stack Indian IP and supply-chain strengthening, as closely aligned with industry needs. He also welcomed measures to reduce import dependencies through rare earth magnet initiatives and continued customs duty exemptions on capital goods for lithium-ion cells.
