Union Budget 2025-26: Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd. Welcomes Policies Boosting EV Adoption
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd.’s Chairman and Managing Director, Yatin Gupte, has expressed his enthusiasm for the policies outlined in the Union Budget 2025-26. The budget’s focus on accelerating electric vehicle (EV) adoption and developing India’s EV ecosystem has been particularly welcomed.
According to Gupte, the reduction in customs duty on lithium and other essential raw materials will significantly lower input costs for lithium-ion battery manufacturing. This move is expected to make EVs more affordable for consumers while boosting domestic production.
The introduction of a national manufacturing mission for clean tech industries has also been commended. This initiative aims to strengthen the ecosystem for EV batteries, motors, and controllers, ultimately accelerating India’s transition to sustainable transportation.
Furthermore, the recognition of MSMEs as the ‘2nd engine’ of economic growth in the Union Budget 2025 is expected to boost sectoral confidence. The fiscal policies supporting MSMEs will have a multiplier effect on various sectors, including accelerating India’s e-mobility revolution.
Gupte is confident that the expanded tax bracket will enhance the purchasing power of the middle class, positively impacting the EV industry in India.
