Wild Tamil Nadu Documentary Premieres in Chennai
Chennai: Wild Tamil Nadu, a visually stunning wildlife documentary directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Kalyan Varma, premiered today in Chennai. Produced by Sundram Fasteners Ltd. and supported by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department, the film showcases the state’s rich biodiversity—from rainforests and coral reefs to arid deserts.
Narrated by actor Arvind Swamy and featuring original music by Grammy-winner Ricky Kej, the documentary captures rare wildlife moments and highlights Tamil Nadu’s unique ecosystems. Filmed over four years, it aims to inspire pride and conservation awareness among viewers.
“This film captures the soul of Tamil Nadu’s wilderness,” said Arathi Krishna, Managing Director, Sundram Fasteners. Varma added, “It’s a tribute to the deep bond between culture and nature.”
Wild Tamil Nadu is a celebration of the state’s natural heritage and a call to protect its irreplaceable diversity.
