Women’s Premier Pickleball League Launches Jersey and Mascot
Chennai: The Women’s Premier Pickleball League (WPPL), India’s first professional pickleball league dedicated exclusively to women, has launched its jersey and mascot in Chennai. The league, scheduled to take place in November 2025, aims to empower women athletes and promote women’s sports in India.
Empowering Women in Sports
WPPL will feature 10 franchise-owned teams, each comprising 5 women players, competing in a high-energy, professionally managed format. The league promises top-tier competition, celebrity involvement, and a strong commitment to promoting women in sports.
Founder Senthil Ram emphasized that WPPL is built on the concept of “Women First, India’s First,” aiming to inspire pride, excitement, and inspiration. He hopes the league will drive change in Indian sports, encouraging more women to take up pickleball and more brands to support women’s sports.
