Industry Welcomes CCUS Push, Policy Continuity in Union Budget

Industry leaders from Bansal Wire Industries Limited and DEE Development Engineers have welcomed the Union Budget 2026, citing its focus on decarbonisation, infrastructure and long-term manufacturing growth.

Pranav Bansal, CEO, Bansal Wire Industries Limited, said the ₹20,000-crore Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCUS) scheme would enable hard-to-abate sectors such as steel to align with climate goals without compromising competitiveness. He said the government’s thrust on infrastructure, construction equipment and the proposed infrastructure risk guarantee fund would help improve project viability and crowd in private capital.

K.L. Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director, DEE Development Engineers, said the Budget provides continuity for capital-intensive sectors including steel, nuclear power and clean fuels. He also welcomed customs reforms aimed at trust-based, automated clearances, noting that these would reduce transaction timelines and support manufacturing efficiency.
