Phoenix Marketcity Chennai Celebrates International Women’s Day with Marathon and Panel Discussion
Chennai: Phoenix Marketcity Chennai marked International Women’s Day with a series of engaging events, including a Women’s Day Marathon and an inspiring panel discussion, celebrating women’s strength, resilience and leadership. The initiatives brought together members of the community through fitness activities and thought-provoking conversations aimed at empowering people across all age groups.
In association with the Vamos Run Club, Phoenix Marketcity organised a Women’s Day Marathon featuring 3K, 4K and 5K categories. The run was open to men, women and children, and witnessed participation from more than 1,500 enthusiastic runners.
Following the marathon, participants took part in a lively Zumba session and a Coffee Rave, adding to the festive spirit of the celebration. Complimentary refreshments were provided throughout the event, and all runners were presented with finisher’s medals upon completing the race.
Later in the day, Phoenix Marketcity Chennai collaborated with Young Indians (Yi) Chennai to host “The Power Within”, an exclusive panel discussion held in connection with International Women’s Day 2026. The session featured prominent speakers including Veena Kumaravel, Founder of Naturals Salon; Pooja Srinivasa Raja, Founder of The Love Hope Company and Executive Director at Adyar Ananda Bhavan; and Renuka, digital content creator and influencer.
The discussion was moderated by Kapil Agrawal of Shuchi Friction Additives. During the session, the speakers shared their personal journeys and insights on leadership, resilience and the importance of purpose in creating meaningful impact in society.
The event also featured the “GiveToGain Awards”, an initiative by Yi Chennai that recognises women who are working at the grassroots level to uplift communities and drive positive social change.
