Baro Market Pop-Up Comes to Chennai: A Celebration of Art, Craft, and Culture

Chennai: Chennai is set to welcome a vibrant showcase of creativity as Srila Chatterjee brings the acclaimed Baro Market to the city from October 31 to November 2. Hosted at The Folly at Amethyst, Royapettah, the three-day event will run daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with free entry for all visitors.

Baro Market is known for its eclectic curation of art, crafts, décor, apparel, and lifestyle products, offering a unique shopping experience that celebrates India’s rich artisanal heritage. The Chennai edition promises an immersive atmosphere filled with live music, food, and a diverse lineup of homegrown brands and creators from across the country.

Among the featured participants is Mushroom on Toast, a clothing label founded by a mother-daughter duo that draws inspiration from nature and Indian textile traditions. Their garments are thoughtfully designed to support rural artisans through the use of textured fabrics, natural dyes, and handcrafted silhouettes. Complementing the fashion offerings are lifestyle accessories from Anki Bunki and artistic bindi designs from The Bindi Project, each adding a distinct flair to the market’s creative spirit.

Visitors can also explore affordable art and home décor pieces crafted by independent artists, making the event a haven for cinema lovers, art enthusiasts, and anyone seeking sustainable and story-rich creations.

Baro Market’s Chennai pop-up is more than just a shopping destination—it’s a celebration of community, craftsmanship, and cultural expression. With free entry and a welcoming atmosphere, it invites everyone to discover the magic of handmade wonders and support local talent in an unforgettable setting.
