IIM Sambalpur Partners with National SC-ST Hub to Boost Grassroots Entrepreneurship
Mumbai: IIM Sambalpur has partnered with the National SC-ST Hub, Ministry of MSME, to conduct a Business Accelerator Programme for SC-ST entrepreneurs, aimed at strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive growth.
The programme, held from January 19 to 24, 2026, is part of a 12-day blended training initiative combining on-campus sessions, online learning, and six months of handholding support. It focuses on building business, financial, and digital capabilities in line with Viksit Bharat 2047 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The first cohort includes 25 entrepreneurs from Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra. A second cohort will commence in February 2026 with a hybrid learning format featuring virtual sessions and a six-day on-campus module at IIM Sambalpur.
Speaking at the launch, Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director, IIM Sambalpur, said the initiative aims to nurture responsible entrepreneurs who create societal value. Industry leaders and policymakers also highlighted the role of capacity-building in driving sustainable and inclusive economic development.
